This liquid trypsin formulation contains EDTA and phenol red. Aicon trypsin-EDTA is made from trypsin powder (protease irradiation mixture from porcine pancreas). Given its digestion strength, trypsin is widely used for cell dissociation, conventional cell culture passage, and primary tissue dissociation.
Quality Inspection
Aicon trypsin-EDTA was tested for pH, osmolarity, sterility, and performance. Furthermore, prior to production, the raw materials were verified by electron beam irradiation and tested for endotoxin, PPV, PCV 1 / 2, mycoplasma, bacteria, fungi, and virus contamination. Various activity assays, ash content analysis, and water content analysis were also performed.
